Who we are

Hello neighbour. We are the Friends of Marble Hill, an organisation comprised of anyone who wants to make the most out of Marble Hill, St.Margarets. We currently offer a newsletter via the Mailchimp platform (which you can sign up to here) and you are on our website ( https://friendsofmarblehill.org.uk ).

We have ambitions to create our own community events, quizzes and volunteering opportunities. As and when we do we will continue to adhere to the UK law on data protection and the EU General Data Protection Regulation. You can read our full GDPR policy here.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Service Provision

We will store minimal information to provide specific requested services. If you contact us directly via friends@friendsofmarblehill.org.uk we will direct your query to the most relevant committeee member or will recomend you to contact a third party such as English Heritage.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Ticketed Events

For events hosted by the Friends of Marble Hill we will ask you to provide your name and email. This will allow us to provide materials for you to participate in the event and provide any subsequent information requested.

We will retain only your email address and name (if supplied) on a secure server. You can remove your information either by following the ‘unsubscribe’ link on any of our emails or notifying us through the contact form on this website. We will remove your subscription within five working days.

The Friends of Marble Hill will not pass information you provide to any third party without your express permission unless required to by law.
